Choosing the best outdoor furniture for your garden can sometimes be a challenge, it often defines the atmosphere for your outdoor living area, and is crucial to creating an inviting and aesthetically pleasing setting. Every year, outdoor furniture has evolved to resemble indoor furniture more and more. This trend has seen the typical wicker pieces replaced by plush sofa sets. We are now seeing the furniture upholstered with durable yet comfortable cushions and throws. These types of sofas often have luxurious textures, bringing the additional comfort of the indoors to the outdoor space.

The modern age is experiencing a big change with how colors, patterns and textures are used. It isn’t about having a bright pink sofa or neon green table, but instead, the trend is to have vibrant, bright tones used strategically with throws and pillows and then pairing them with neutral shades to make the whole pieces stand out more. This can give the whole outdoor space a big uplift and can be teamed with other aspects of the outdoor space, such as umbrellas or flower pots.

Incorporating the Old with the New

It used to be frowned upon to mix traditional décor with modern décor, but with the current trends, this is no longer the case. Whether you have a modern garden and traditional wicker furniture, or the opposite – with a traditional garden and modern furniture, it is now acceptable to mix these styles. This is because it makes your garden less mundane, but to ensure that this is the case you should try and use brighter colors too.

A lot of outdoor living areas, usually have a good garden space included with them. Which often means that there are flower beds and a lawn area. A trend which has developed over the past year has been having the accessories used in the garden match with the furniture for used to allow for seamless look throughout the garden. For instance, this can be done by getting flower pots in neutral colors and then having your sofa sets the same colors. To then add a splash of color, this can be done with having bright red colors, and planting roses in the plant pots.
